The Three Phases of a Furniture Respray
Collection & Preparation
We collect your furniture from your home, carefully wrapping each piece for safe transit to our Denton workshop. In the workshop, we assess the substrate, remove or prepare the existing finish, and repair any damage — filling chips, dents, scratches, and veneer lifting. Every surface is cleaned, degreased, and sanded to create the perfect foundation. Hardware such as handles and hinges is either removed or meticulously masked.
Priming & Spray Application
A specialist primer is selected based on the substrate material and the colour change required. For dark-to-light transformations, we use high-opacity primers that completely block the underlying colour. Your chosen topcoat is then sprayed using HVLP equipment in our dust-controlled spray booth, building up thin, even layers. Multiple coats ensure depth of colour and a flawless, brush-mark-free surface. Each coat is inspected under high-intensity lighting.
Curing & Delivery
After the final coat, pieces are left to cure in our heated, dust-free workshop. Full hardness develops over approximately two weeks, but the coating reaches safe handling dryness within hours. Once cured, hardware is refitted, every surface is given a final inspection, and the piece is carefully wrapped for delivery. We return it to your home, position it, and ensure you are completely satisfied with the transformation.
