Professional UPVC respray by Revitalize Resprays

Professional UPVC Respray Services

Transform faded, discoloured UPVC windows, doors, and conservatories with a durable factory-quality finish — at a fraction of the cost of replacement.

Why Respray Your UPVC?

UPVC windows and doors are designed to be low-maintenance, but they are not immune to the effects of time and weather. After 10 to 15 years of exposure to UV light, rain, and pollution, white UPVC frames often develop a chalky, grey appearance. Coloured UPVC can fade dramatically, with south-facing elevations showing the most significant colour loss. What was once a smart-looking exterior begins to look tired and neglected.

Replacing UPVC windows and doors across an entire property is a major investment, typically costing between £8,000 and £20,000 for an average three-bedroom home. The process involves weeks of disruption, with fitters removing old frames, making good internal plastering, and redecorating around each opening. If your existing frames are structurally sound and the sealed units are intact, this level of expenditure is entirely unnecessary.

UPVC respraying offers a transformative alternative. Using specialist coatings developed specifically for plastic substrates, we can change the colour of your UPVC frames, restore faded surfaces, and give your entire property a fresh, contemporary appearance. The coating bonds permanently to the UPVC and is formulated to flex with the material as it expands and contracts through temperature changes, ensuring long-term adhesion without cracking or peeling.

What We Can Respray

Windows

Casement windows, tilt-and-turn windows, sash-style UPVC windows, and bay window frames. All frame profiles including the sill, mullions, and transoms.

Doors

Front doors, back doors, French doors, patio doors, and bi-fold doors. We can spray both the interior and exterior faces in different colours if required.

Conservatories

Full conservatory resprays including the roof ridge, glazing bars, fascia, base panels, and door frames. Transform a dated white conservatory into a modern Anthracite Grey extension.

Fascias, Soffits & Guttering

Roofline products including fascia boards, soffit boards, barge boards, and guttering. Match your roofline to your newly sprayed windows for a cohesive exterior.

Our UPVC Respray Process

Every UPVC respray project begins with a thorough assessment. We inspect each frame for structural integrity, check that sealed units are not blown, and evaluate the condition of rubber gaskets and weather seals. If any frames have mechanical damage — cracks, warping, or broken mechanisms — we will advise you honestly about whether repair or replacement is the better option for those specific units.

Once we are satisfied that the UPVC is suitable for respraying, the preparation phase begins. Every frame is meticulously cleaned using a specialist UPVC solvent cleaner that removes oxidation, dirt, algae, and residual silicone. We then abrade each surface with fine-grade sanding pads to create a mechanical key for the primer. All glass is masked with precision-cut film, and adjacent brickwork, render, and cladding are protected with sheeting and tape.

A high-adhesion primer specifically formulated for plastic substrates is applied using professional HVLP spray equipment. This primer creates a chemical bond with the UPVC surface that is stronger than the original factory finish. After the primer has cured, two coats of exterior-grade topcoat are applied. Our topcoats contain UV stabilisers to prevent fading, flexible resins that move with the UPVC, and anti-microbial agents that resist algae and mould growth.

The final result is a uniform, factory-quality finish with no brush marks, runs, or orange peel. The coating is touch-dry within hours and fully cured within 7 days, during which time we advise against cleaning the frames or closing windows tightly against freshly sprayed surfaces.

Popular UPVC Colours in Manchester

The most requested UPVC colour in Manchester by a significant margin is Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016). This dark grey has become the standard for modern new-build developments and renovations alike, offering a sleek, contemporary look that pairs beautifully with both brick and rendered facades. Agate Grey (RAL 7038) is another popular choice for homeowners who want a softer, lighter grey that complements traditional stonework.

Black (RAL 9005) is increasingly popular for properties with a more industrial or contemporary aesthetic, while Chartwell Green remains a favourite for period properties and cottages. We also see strong demand for Cream White (RAL 9001), which offers a warmer alternative to brilliant white for homes with sandstone or warm-toned brickwork.

Dual-colour spraying is available for customers who want a different colour inside and outside. A common combination is Anthracite Grey externally with White internally, replicating the specification of premium aluminium window systems at a fraction of the cost.

Environmental & Financial Benefits

Choosing to respray rather than replace UPVC frames is one of the most environmentally responsible home improvement decisions you can make. UPVC is notoriously difficult to recycle, and the majority of replaced frames end up in landfill where they will persist for hundreds of years. By respraying your existing frames, you are extending their useful life by a decade or more and keeping thousands of kilograms of plastic waste out of the waste stream.

Financially, the savings are substantial. A full-house UPVC respray typically costs between £1,500 and £3,500 — compared to £8,000 to £20,000 for replacement windows and doors. That represents a saving of up to 80%, freeing up budget for other home improvements. The value added to your property through an improved exterior appearance often exceeds the cost of the respray itself, making it one of the highest-ROI improvements available to homeowners.
